Nyx and Jet’s journey through the Gexalatian wilderness is growing more desperate as their allies, the Pangere, are captured with no hope of rescue. At the same time, Raphael remains separated from his sisters, while Bailey is still held by the evil king and his goddess.

As Nyx, Jet, and their new companions struggle to reunite and reach Queen Liana in Regius Carmen, Nyx must also navigate a new relationship with her grandmother and confront the reality of a war that has been raging long before she was born. But an even greater threat is closing in on her—something powerful and unknown that could destroy everything she loves if she can’t uncover it in time.
