BrazCon 2019 and a New Book!
Hi all!
Sorry it's been so long since I've sent an update - I've had a baby and things have been crazy hectic with taking care of a new little person! In light of that, book 3 in A Gexalatian Tale Series will be pushed out to a March of 2020 release date. Hopefully that's enough time to get it written ... haha! I've also decided to cut my newsletters down from every Wednesday, like I was doing previously, to once a month. I don't want to spam you guys and I think that will be plenty to keep you abreast of what's happening here!
In other news, I've been invited to attend BrazCon again this year!
A family friendly, FREE event for kids ages 10 - 18!
BrazCon Teen Comic Convention & Geek-Fest is a celebration of graphic novels, comics, manga, and pop culture. We are planning a full day of sessions, workshops, gaming, crafting, cosplay, anime and a whole lot of fun. Activities are based on Marvel, DC, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Dr. Who, Percy Jackson, Star Trek and more.
Costumes are encouraged but not required (prop weapons will not be allowed).
Food trucks and vendors will be present and most accept cash only. An ATM machine will not be present at the site.
Doors will open at 8:45 a.m. for registration.
I had a wonderful time last year and got to chat with some aspiring future authors, as well as be part of some really great panels and get to talk to some amazing authors about their books. It was a great event, with over 5,000 people in attendance. This year the Brazoria County Library system is expecting a much larger turn-out, so come join us if you're in the Houston area on Saturday, February 23, 2019!
Check out their Facebook page and get tickets here!
Joining me at BrazCon this year will be a friend and fellow author, D. Marie Prokop and her new book, The Good Shepherd!
I was lucky enough to be asked to read it before it was released, and it was amazing! Definitely check her out and come out to get your signed copy! This is a new series you don't want to miss!
And finally, I was invited toward the end of 2018 to be a part of an anthology series by Z Publishing! My piece has been featured in their book Texas's Emerging Writers!
Inside you'll find a ton of great short stories from some up-and-coming authors, in all genres of fiction! They've also invited me to submit a piece for this year's book as well, so keep an eye out for a release date on that! Who knows, maybe you'll find your new favorite writer!
Hope you all had wonderful holidays, a great start to the new year, and I look forward to seeing some of you at BrazCon!
