Help save Daisy - Donate Now!
Hi All,
I normally would never do this, but the situation is extenuating. I promise this will be the only one of it's kind and I will not send another email of this nature.
My dog Daisy, an 8-year-old border collie mix, has fallen ill. We have spent the last 3 days at vet's offices trying to determine the cause, and we have received terrible news. It is possible that Daisy has lymphoma.

Daisy being silly. Look at that grin on her face!
Daisy has been my best friend since my nineteenth birthday, when I found her on a Craigslist ad. She was a scrawny, ugly little baby, rescued from the Texas summer heat and covered in fire ant bites. I took her anyway. She was very shy, but over the course of her puppy-hood, we had an amazing bond. I got Daisy during a time when I had no friends (literally, my roommate and I had a falling out and didn't speak for most of the year) and was just starting college and trying to learn to adult. Daisy has been with me my entire adult life, through the bad times and bad relationships and into my relationship with my husband and our marriage.
I never expected that Daisy would ever get cancer. I always thought that she'd live to be a million years old and gray on her little face and we'd have much more time together.

Daisy does not like baths.
I tell you all this to ask for your help. Daisy will need surgery to remove her tumor, which is blocking her intestine, making it difficult for her to eat, and she will need chemo to help the lymphoma go into remission. This is going to cost a lot of money, and we want to help Daisy as best we can.
I ask you to please help Daisy, and send us a donation for her care. It doesn't have to be much, $5 or $10 or whatever you can spare. Daisy and I would be forever grateful.
I'm currently preparing to put something together (a custom mug or something) to send to each person who donates $5 or more as a thank-you from me and Daisy. If you'd like to help us out, please go to this website:

*Be sure to include in the note your name and mailing address so that I can send you a thank-you from Daisy!*
Thank you, once again, for taking the time to read this and for being part of my mailing list. As I said up top, this is the only time I will send a message of this kind. If you'd like to keep up with Daisy's progress, please "like" my Facebook page. Next week we will have regular Wednesday news posts!
